welcome…

beloved.

….this is why I write.

As I have grown in my relationship with Christ, I have become aware of who I am in Him. Not who the world wants to tell me that I am.  Nor am I the old voices in my head of years past. I am a child of God, and in that recognition, I have finally tasted peace. I do not bask in it every moment, I am still a work in progress.

But because I am beloved, I can finally begin to let go and find gratitude on this journey…

This journey of a single mom, doing her best to raise her teenage daughter in this sometimes overwhelming, but breathtaking world!

My Sweet Louise and I ride in tandem, pedaling through our days.

At times climbing steep hills ~ struggling and tired, lacking endurance. Other days, we enjoy the wind in our hair and the warmth of the sunshine on our face.

Coasting peaceful and free.

The dear friends who have loved me through the years, they have seen it.

The transition from a fearful, sometimes angry, and unhappy soul to one who now walks joyfully in this world rather than cowering from it.

Through His eyes, I can see a life of breath and of beauty. And I owe it all to my Jesus.

With tremendous gratitude, my heart is full and the words that flow through me are many. Words to proclaim His generous and loving ways in my life.

Mark 5:19

Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.”

For as long as I can remember, words have been spinning around in my head.

They have spilled onto blank pages from the ink in my pen. They have moved past my lips and into the air. Sometimes floating kindly and gently on a breath.  Other times, catapulted with force at a heart-broken target, as I struggle to find my grounding.

Faltering.

Weighted.

But, through the years with God’s loving grace, I have learned to handle my words with greater care.

For they are the carrier, the messenger of my intention.IMG_2921DSC_0212IMG_9862

Proverbs 16:24

Kind words are like honey–sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

The truths in God’s Word will nourish us. The verses ~  timeless reminders, echoing His promises. Revealing His abundant affection for each of us.

He will go to any lengths to prove His love.

Personally.

Intentionally.

He knows the intimacies of my heart and how to reach me. I often discover Him in nature, in relationships, and in the daily living of this life.

In the beauty of a sunset, meticulously painted in vibrant hues. Brush strokes of fiery oranges. Persimmony pinks.

He showers His love in the kindness of a friend, whispering comfort to my sometimes lost and aching heart.

Or in the giggles of my little girl as she used to whirl round and round, her dress a spiraling pink flower wrapping her in bliss.

Words have always been an extension of that love, to me …a way to express, to share His JOY!

It is with this in mind that I have come to the keyboard.

That I may reach out to you across the miles to share my words, in hopes to bless and encourage you as your own journey unfolds. Seeing your own miracles.

My miracle is here…

My Sweet Louise.

She is my beautiful and inspiring reminder of God’s unending Grace!

img_0172-2IMG_0846Our Heavenly Father certainly had a plan when our lives were bound together as family.  And in that plan, He provides a multitude of pathways for us to walk closer to Him.

Pathways of trust.

The blog posts and photographs that fill these virtual pages will be a reflection of our days.

Our challenges.

Our adventures.

But most of all ~ our recounting the ways that we are His “beloved”.

So…join us for some storytelling, as God reveals beautiful moments and tugging growth opportunities in chapters yet to be written.
