A cool, summer morning in July. The sun rising just over horizon, illuminating the dew drops like diamonds shining on the tips of the blades of green…
Emma toddles through the bushes, looking to find the perfect berry : )
And so it has been for almost every year at the peak of the season.
Blueberry picking.
Tall, 50-year old bushes would tower over her small frame. A drive through the countryside to the blueberry farm has been a favorite memory we’ve shared. Sweet blueberry smiles and the excitement of filling her bucket to (and past) the brim!
My sweet Louise is an expert at finding “sweetness” in this life.
She is quick to let go of the grumbles and frustrations. Eager to grasp onto the smiles and laughter of others. She delights in the moment. And oh…how I love this about her : )
Such big lessons to be learned in the small things!
