great and small.

All creatures…

My Sweet Louise has always been especially fond of animals.

Big ones. Little ones. Furry ones. Woolly ones. Farm or wildlife. To this day they capture her heart!

When other little girls were playing princess, Emma was setting up her old wooden blocks in various architectural designs with grand entrances and gates. This was her zoo : )

Every day a different configuration.

Her imagination was endless. She had a special place for each of her stuffed animals as they became the  well-nurtured “residents”. Trucks became ambulances to help any animal that might injured. Little kisses and band-aids were soon to follow.

Time passed and Emma found herself at Montessori school with a farm-based approach.

Daily animal-care included tending to the animals and their environmental, nutritional, and social needs. All of this translating into the grander scheme ~ the many needs of people, our community, the world.

Tender-hearted and intuitive, I believe that Emma will forever walk alongside these four-legged creatures, wrapping her love and compassion around them.

A blessing to behold.
