storybooks.

bib·li·o·phile
ˈbiblēəˌfīl/
noun:  a person who collects or has a great love of books.

She wears this button proudly on her backpack ~  a reminder to all ~ her love of the written word.

Reading has been a part of her life since infancy.

Days spent in the nursery, I’d sit in the old wicker rocking chair ~ gently creaking.  My tiny, sweet Emma not yet here in this tangible world. I would pull a picture book from the shelf, imagine her in my arms and read to her.

When she could read herself, it was a glorious day! I don’t think there has been a time since then that she hasn’t been holding a book in her hands.

From “The Day it Rained Hearts” to “Pride and Prejudice”, her collection has grown. The stories and images they create pique her already creative imagination.

Lying on puffed-up pillows on her bed. Under the shade of the sycamore in the side yard. On an old, tattered quilt in the sun. While riding in the car. Or on the steps of a city museum.

Any place…any time is perfect for a good book!
